WEST POINT, N.Y. - Army senior wrestler Matt Kyler and junior hurdler Domonick Sylve have been named as the Army Athletic Association's Co-Athletes of the Week for their respective performances over the weekend.

Kyler, a four-time EIWA finalist, captured his second EIWA Championship on Sunday in Bethlehem, Pa with a 5-3 win over Bucknell's Kevin LeValley. Ranked #10 in the latest Intermat poll, Kyler won Army's 30th  EIWA individual championship and avenged one of his three losses on the season. LeValley, the #7 ranked wrestler in the poll, edged Kyler 8-6 in overtime during a dual in West Point, N.Y., Nov. 21, but this time it was Kyler coming out on top and becoming Army's first two-time EIWA champion since Phillip Simpson won three straight titles from 2003-05.

At the IC4A Track & Field Championships in Boston, Sylve set an Academy record in the 55m hurdles, clocking in at 7.32 seconds and winning first place overall to conclude a stellar indoor season. The Long Beach, Calif. native passed T.J. Peterson's time of 7.35, set over 16 years ago, and broke through the NCAA provisional-qualifying time of 7.38 in his final indoor meet of the season.

A First Team All-Patriot League performer in the 60m hurdles, Sylve also sits in second place on the Academy records list behind Peterson in that event after a blistering 7.86-second performance that pulled him to within .01 seconds of tying the all-time mark. He also notched a new career-best time in the 200m dash with a time of 23.04 set at the Armory in New York City January 16.

Kyler and Richard Starks will represent the Army wrestling team at the NCAA Championships in Omaha, Neb. March 18-20, while the track & field team will return to action at the Bulls Invitational March 19 in Tampa, Fla. for the first outdoor meet of the season.
