CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Junior F Erin Anthony has been the cornerstone of the Army women's basketball team in all facets of the game this season. During Tuesday morning's Patriot League conference call, she was recognized as so by the league's head coaches, garnering first team All-Patriot League laurels. Freshman G Molly Yardley became the ninth player in Army history to nab a spot on the All-Rookie team.

A preseason All-League pick prior to the 2009-10 campaign, Anthony is the only player in the league to be averaging a double-double (16.2 ppg, 10.4 rpg) this season. Her 51.2 field goal percentage and 1.9 blocks per game land second in the Patriot League. She copped five Patriot League/Anaconda Player of the Week citations this season, matching American's Michelle Kirk for the most honors by a single player. Anthony is the sixth player in Army history to make the first team, joining three-time honoree Katie Macfarlane (2002, 2003, 2004) and two-time winners Cara Enright (2006, 2007), Therese Kelley (2000, 2001), Alex McGuire (2007, 2008) and Lisa Russell (1993, 1994).

The Patriot League leader in minutes played (37.5 per game), Anthony is also listed among the nation's best in several of the aforementioned statistical categories. She ranks 23rd in rebounding and double-doubles, 39th in field goal percentage and 57th for blocked shots.

Anthony enters postseason play sitting on 998 points, 710 rebounds and 133 blocks in her three-year career. Should she get her 1,000th point during the tournament, Anthony would become the sixth player in program history to hit the milestone as a junior. She ranks second all-time at Army in career blocks, seventh in rebounds and 15th in scoring.

An Allentown, Pa., native, Anthony has collected postseason honors in all three seasons, beginning with All-Rookie Team status in 2008 and second team all-league honors in 2009.  Her credentials in the classroom are equally as impressive as those on the court. A civil engineering major at one of the world's top leadership institutions, Anthony became the first Army women's basketball player in history to receive CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America honors on Feb. 23. She was joined by some of the nation's top talent, including consensus 2009 National Player of the Year Maya Moore out of Connecticut, Tennessee's Angie Bjorklund, Indiana State's Kelsey Luna and West Virginia's Liz Repella.

Yardley is the first player since Anthony to be named to the Patriot League All-Rookie Team. Logging more minutes than any other rookie on Army's roster, Yardley has played in 26 games and is averaging over 17 minutes a contest. She earned three starts during the second half of Patriot League play and averaged 6.3 points a game against conference opponents. She scored a career-high 17 points in Army's win over Holy Cross on Jan. 13 and earned Patriot League/Anaconda Rookie of the Week honors the following Monday.

Yardley's 86 percent (43-of-50) free throw percentage tops the team. The Milford, Conn., native has also developed into one of the team's top three-point threats, hitting for a 33 percent (17-of-52) accuracy. She has scored in double-digits three times this year with two of those efforts coming during Patriot League play.
