WEST POINT,
N.Y. - Senior captain Chris Albornoz picked up a 4-6, 6-4,
10-6 third singles win for Army's lone point of the day in a 6-1 loss to
visiting Yale (2-1) at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center on Sunday. With the loss,
Army's record now stands at 1-3.
After falling behind 4-6
after the first set, the West Babylon, N.Y. native surged back in the next two
sets to claim his second consecutive singles win of the 2010 season (2-2).
Albornoz's match was the only
match that went three sets, as Yale, the No. 70 ranked team in the country,
swept the double competition and earned five singles points in straight sets to
defeat the Black Knights.
After opening the season with
a 6-1 win over Fairfield, Army (1-3) has lost each of its last three matches,
and will look for its second win of the season next weekend. The Black Knights
