OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. - Army junior Corri Payne notched three first-place finishes to lead the Black Knights to a 152-106 victory over host C.W. Post, Friday night in women's swimming action.

"I thought It was a good day for our women," said Army head coach Mickey Wender. "I felt it was a good stepping stone as we get ready for the Navy meet in two weeks. I thought our upper classmen swam really well, especially Corri and (senior) Amy (Tang), who swam about as well as I've seen in an Army suit. I'm proud of the way we performed. The team continues to move in the right direction."

Payne was the evening's top finisher in the 200 (1:57.40) and 500 (5:15.40) while also finishing runner-up in the 100 free (55.34). She also joined Tang, sophomore Leigh Rosenberger and freshman Christina Esachina to win the 400 free relay (3:41.81) as Army improved its record to 3-4 this season.

Tang's night included a first-place effort in the 100 butterfly (59.34), as well as a second-place finish in the 200 fly (2:11.24), while Esachina ended up second in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.85) and third in both the 50 free (25.79) and the 200 breast (2:31.04).

Freshman Alyssa Tran notched a pair of individual wins, touching the wall first in the 50 free (24.54) and the 100 free (54.78) while her 59.34 in the 100 butterfly was good enough for third.

Freshman Alex Sieracki won the 1,000 free (11:14.59), finished second in the 500 free (5:23.93) and took third in the 200 free (2:02.33), while classmate Becky Malone was tops in  the 100 breaststroke (1:09.84) and second in both the 200 breast (2:30.69) and the 200 IM (2:20.66).

Freshman Juliana Lynch added a runner-up showing in the 200 back (2:16.85) as well as a third-place effort in the 200 IM (2:20.66).

The Army women will return to action on Dec. 10 when they travel with the men to Navy for the annual Star Meet, scheduled to start at 3:45 p.m.
